This is an impressive collection of data, but I suspect most of us are at a loss as to how to learn from it. If one of these plays conflicts with my intuition, what do I do? If I'm Stick or MCG then maybe I just dismiss the bot as a donkey, and maybe the bot is a donkey, but how can I tell? Will the real donkey please stand up?
Perhaps a starting point is the 2-2 roll, where there seems to be unanimous agreement that 8/4(2) is the play. Let's assume that this is correct. Then this tells us that, in particular, shuffling the rear checkers closer is not correct here. On the other hand, let's look at the 4-2 roll. None of the columns offers 8/4 6/4 as an option; instead, 16/12 6/4 seems to be a preferred candidate. Can we make any sense of this? Clearly the bots know something about trapping or they would not play 8/4(2) with a 2-2. So when they roll 4-2, what do they see that makes them prefer 16/12 to 8/4?
