With such a stacked position and slightly behind in the race

If we hit, we'll be slightly ahead in the race, since White dances 9 times, and they're all big pip dancers. In fact, to show all the numbers: without considering dancing, a player throws 294 pips in 36 rolls. Here, nine numbers dance: 44 55 66 45 46 56, which represents 16 + 20 + 24 + 2*9 + 2*10 + 2*11 = 120 pips. So, in a cross-section of 36 rolls, White actually only ekes out 174 pips, for an average of 174/36 ≈ 5.

That was fun and useless. =)
