I cheated, I read other people's replies before posting my own so now I'm woefully influenced. Still, even though Richard made the play, I'm going to stick with 9/5. The most likely course of this game now is to be a race and we should play towards that. The contact that remains in this position is a mirage.

There are only two numbers that don't safety the blot this turn for XGR+, 33 and 66, so if we're (un)fortunate enough to get a shot it's best we don't have a point in our home board slotted. It's also better for the race if we just bring the checkers in to the higher points. Both of these factors point to 9/5.
