9/8 6/3 for me to build the board efficiently. We now enter into a holding game in which we are a half roll down in the race, but were, for the moment, we are holding two points. Timing will either be in our favor (if XGR cannot clear one of the two points), or very close. So unless high numbers / doubles are rolled, we are going to play pips in our home board in any case. If we do that now, we will have a better board than if we do it later. The inefficiencies for the race of 9/8 6/3 compared to 9/5 are tiny, while the hurt when we get an immediate shot and do hit it, without cover, and are return hit are offset by the gain if we get an immediate short and hit & cover or hit, don't cover, but are missed.

9/8 6/3 for me, with a minuscule edge over 9/5.
