Thanks. It's a pleasure to put some thought into a problem and try to articulate the reasons for a play fully. Tim's original position is a great illustration of competing game plans. Tim pointed out more bluntly that Blue's problem is his back checkers. It was fascinating to discover that hitting after 8/4(2) 6/2(2) stepped so smack into Blue's best plan, that the two outfield blots were virtually immune to attack.

And it's also nice to turn out to be half-right, too. Tim's bot didn't care much for my first choice of the plays that broke the midpoint.
