Just one point in favor of stopping liberally -- I have at times cut votes short when they were lopsided. I do realize that in these bearin type positions, you can have 10 different candidates that are all reasonable (within 0.010). But with the particular position that I posted last night, even with many candidate plays, the vote came out lopsided, so I'm stopping it well short of 24 hours. I'll keep an eye on it today and do the same if it's lopsided again.
