Stick gave a nice analysis and I have nothing to add to it except that I set this position up and played it out a couple dozen times and I was surprised at how often White wins. With a strong offense already in place all it takes is one decent exchange for him to become a strong favorite, often playing on for a gammon himself. Well worth playing out a few times.
