I have no idea what stakes were played in that particular game, nor if it was a chouette (I don't think it was).

I've been a lot in Monaco outside the WC week, and heard about some of the games there (in a hunt to find some more "friendly" games). You have a high number of people passing by Monaco, who are high-stakes-moneygame material (plays bg, have more money than you can imagine, are willing to take the sucker-end of a proposition, if the chances of upsetting a big name at high-stakes are good enough). Most of the yachts in the harbor makes $1K/point look ridiculously cheap...

Anyway, 200 points might easily disappear in a money-session, least a chouette, but I guess that a short-stack in a NLHE poker tournament can disappear even faster. Gus had qualified for day 2 which consisted of not too many players, but he was getting short stacked.
