For this series, I think we need to look at the strength of white's priming game, racing game and attacking game, and on the basis of the decide whether to play 24/23 or 6/5 to go with 13/8. And we need to check which plays are legally possible. Then we get:

After 61, I'd play 13/8 6/5. I think 61 is not that strong as a priming play, and it brings another checker down for a potential attack. It is 7 pips for the race, so the race is almost even. I'd play to strengthen our own prime.

After 31, I'd play 13/8 24/23. We are now a bit ahead in the race, and 31 is a good priming roll, but not that great for attacking (yet). So I play to activate our back checkers and make it more difficult to bring builders down.

After 42, I'd play 13/8 24/23, same arguments as above, but they apply more weakly. So I'd expect 13/8 6/5 to be closer.

After 53, our race has further weakened, but white's priming potential has weakened, while with the 3-point made attacking options become more attractive. I switch to 13/8 6/5.

After 64, I even more want to play 6/5, and it has the advantage of being legal.

After 65 (24/13), which is a bit of an outlier in the series, I think our first objective should be to create shots against builder down plays, so 13/8 24/23 for me.
