I make the 4 pt instantly since this is the route to win this game. Stick misses with all 4's and 6's and we'll soon be considering a recube. If he dances, he gets a 4 cube gift wrapped. If he hits back, he still has 3 checkers in our now decent home board/containment structure.

I fear bar/17 is a weak underplay.

Certainly making the 4 pt is not an overplay, but needed to win the game.
