I appreciate your analysis, Daniel. Not weighing heavily enough how I will proceed when Black doesn't roll a 6 -- which, as you point out, is the clear majority of the time -- is surely at the heart of my misplay. My play might look best in terms of containment for one exchange, but at some point I need to close the door, and I haven't gotten much closer to achieving that after my play. The other responses pointed this out as well, but seeing some actual numbers helped.
