I suppose that's so, but from a Gnubg rollout I've done as a money game with centered cube, it's a bit more interesting than just that. The best slotting play is 15/9 15/14 and does quite well in the rollout. After that play, correct cube action is double/pass, if Opp does not roll a six. However, that play's equity in the rollout is inflated, because Gnubg doubles and takes after a non-six. Another slotting play, 15/9 14/13, rolls out to be a whopper, because while it also leads to double/pass after a non-six, it's too wide open when Opp does roll a six. The apparently stodgy 15/9 15/14, leaving only fives and eights to cover, is much better, because having "only" fives and eights to cover is good enough to end the game with double/pass after a non-six.
The better play in the rollout, however, is 17/11 14/13, after which, following a non-six, correct cube action is double/take. And the rollout equity of this play is a bit lower than it should be, because Blue also has a double/take after some sixes (6-1), but Gnubg doesn't double in the rollout.
