Because then if I was low on time I would purposely cock my dice to finish my pip count, my match equity considerations, or even 0 plying how to play my upcoming roll.

You should be able to roll the dice the vast majority of the time without cocking them effortlessly. Add in the fact that you're low on time you should learn to aim for the part of the board where there are no checkers, it's not that tough. I have no sympathy for the cockers.
