Elderly players and time clocks

I am basically with Stick here, but I don't feel pashionately about it. What I do feel pashionate about is that players need to understand that if they get close to zero, they are risking a time default. Rather than constructing an edifice of complicated rules to protect players who run their time to within seconds of the end, I would like to see players who don't want to take a chance with cocked dice make sure their time doesn't run that low in the first place! This is actually not that tough to do. You just treat a time such as 60 seconds or 180 seconds or whatever as if it were the real time default and make sure you don't go below it for any reason other than cocked dice or some other unavoidable delay. If you aren't a legend with using the clock like Bob Koca, don't take a chance! Keep some time on your clock!
