4-4 to play

Brown's best hopes would seem to lie in an attack, either in Brown's homeboard, or hitting in the outfield sometime soon. Brown also has several awkward numbers. So, to keep the pressure on Brown's bad rolls, and to take the edge off an attack, and I'd keep the back checkers where there are, and use 4-4 to make a 4-point board. 13/9(2) 8/4(2).
The other play would be 9(2) 24/16, hoping to bring both checkers around without delay. But our race lead is not huge, and with our opening bar point and four point, and our two buried checkers, our bear-in position seems awkward and underwhelming. Brown can wait a long time on his anchor and see what happens. I think we're better off outboarding Brown 4 to 2 and using that to our advantage; an exchange of hits, or simply a Brown blot to hit, seems likely.
