Tim, ask your parents or grandparents if getting old is, by itself, a physical challenge. If they say it is, would you say that they're being "ridiculous"? I agree with you that some people in their 80s could run circles around you, and maybe I could too, but don't generalize from that and think that getting old isn't a physical challenge. (By the way, I believe that Bob is fortysomething, so in 20 or 30 years he'll be sixtysomething or seventysomething.)
