This is close enough to a kill or be killed situation that I hit without much thought when I notice the numbers to hit back cleanly in the outfield are also the entering numbers.

Taking the time to count them up in case it means something to someone I see [11 44 21 41 42 62] or 10 rolls that hit back in the outfield. Our opponent should of course hit loose on his ace point with [54 52 51] or 6 rolls. We may be outboarded with a racing lead both which point towards 'safe' play, the gain when our opponent dances (esp. w/the other outfield blot, cube?!) or comes in not hitting outweigh the factors.

Which play wins the most games? Hitting.
Which play wins the most gammons? Hitting.
Which play losses the most gammons? Hitting.

Two to one in favor of hitting so the extra gammons lost have to be more than significant. I see them as signficant since it creates 3 blots opposed to one that is attackable, but not more than enough to outweigh the other two factors.

To spice up the problem we might put the cube on one side or the other and see how that affects Blue's play.

13/8* for me in the given position.
