I have started using the same seed as a matter of course for rolls with the same pip count. For example, I use the same seed for an opening roll of 54 and an opening roll of 63. Then, if I eventually want to add R to the 54 rollout, I will get the same result to aid comparison. I think this is what Nack was suggesting as well. I will do the same thing on the second roll, for example 42P-54 & 42P-63. When I do this without stopping to think if there are duplicates or not, it is easier. And, I can't see any downside.
