Rollout - changing settings in Gnubg

In Response To: Rollout (Steve Mellen)

You've set up a position in Gnubg, and now

(1) You want the analysis pane to show:

Menu bar View -> Panels -> check Analysis

(2) You want to change the rollout parameters

Menu bar Settings -> Rollouts -> Play Settings -> change "expert" to "world class" or "supremo," which are 2-ply.

Similarly, if your Analysis is not set to 2-ply,

Menu bar Settings -> Analysis -> change the analysis level to "world class" or "supremo"

Good idea now to to go to Menu bar -> Settings -> Save Settings

since you probably want the analysis pane visible and be using 2-ply rollouts and analysis the next time you open Gnubg.

The other Setting I fiddle with before publishing a rollout result in this forum is

Menu bar Settings -> Export -> change X in "output move analysis show at most X moves" to the number of analyzed/rolled moves you want to display with the board.
