I may give the XG 3 ply data a try. It is interesting that 3 ply moves with either 3 ply cubes or 4 ply cubes returns the same, presumably erronious result. That would seem to argue that a checker play error is at work rather than cube errors as we found with GNU.

I am trying to develop a technique which will aid in identifying and understanding the variance we see between XG 3 ply and XG 4 ply. These ideas may or may not work. I will report on the results when I have enough information to share.
