It is certainly possible, especially at 2-away/3-away, for the position to be too good to redouble/take. For this to happen, though, you have to be—well—too good. That is, your gammon chances have to be high enough for you to prefer playing on to just claiming the game. Just because you have enough gammon chances to prevent you from having a double doesn't mean that you're too good.

I can certainly believe that I have underestimated Blue's winning chances here and that Blue has a take, but I would be quite surprised if White is too good.
