41$-44, enlightened data

I am trying to develop a technique which will aid in identifying and understanding the variance we see between XG 3 ply and XG 4 ply. These ideas may or may not work. I will report on the results when I have enough information to share.
By "variance," I assume you mean differing results (as opposed to the usual reference of random deviation that will disappear given enough trials).
I'm certainly interested in anything you uncover. I'm not sure this fits in with your plan, but opening 41 data might make a good case study:
Snowie .. [S $22] 31k
GnuBG .. [S $9] 46k
XG 3-ply [S $8] 173k
XG 4-ply [S $22] 25kNote the agreement of Snowie with XG 4-ply on the one hand, and the agreement of GnuBG with XG 3-ply on the other.
