This is a very tough choice. 13/12* is clear and then it is either the priming play (13/7) or the attacking play (13/2*). 13/7 was my initial impulse here at DMP. But I am not too keen on the timing to hold the prime and on allowing our opponent to anchor on the edge on the 23 point. On balance, I feel like the double hit serves multiple purposes - planning for a deeper prime to help combat the timing concerns, denying the 23 point anchor, and additional tempo to provide scramble time for the back checkers. Getting hit is not great, but not a disaster either. From the roof we may make the bar, return hit on the 2 point, or perhaps none of the above and get another chance after an opponent dance with one checker. Slight edge to the double hit as I see it - even at DMP.
