I was wondering if anyone has rolled out 53P-62 at GS? I suspect 13/5 is correct.
53P-62
You are right. Here is data for 53P-62:
Snowie .. [S $37 R54 D82] 15k 5kRD
GnuBG .. [S $19 R41] 31k 5kR, s[$ S21 R32] 5k, g[$ S11 D17] 5kKey: S = Split (24/18 13/11, $ = Slot (13/5), R = Run (24/16), D = Down (13/11 13/7). Error sizes are in thousandths.
A lower-case letter before the brackets denotes score: s = gammon save, g = gammon go; else assume money. After the brackets is the number of trials (in thousands, rounded down). For example, "s [$ S21 R32] 5k" means that $ is best, S is -.021 and R is -.032, after 5000+ trials.
Note (see bold font) that $ is right by a larger margin at gammon save (.021) than at gammon go (.011). [GnuBG's results are only 5k, but Snowie's results, albeit non-AtS checker play, suggest something similar.] When Opp has a deep point or has a lot of checkers in the zone, the usual paradigm of being more willing to split at GS and slot at GG is often reversed.
