I almost didn't click on this thread because I'm usually not interested in tournament news, but I'm glad I did so that I can add my get-well wishes. My mother had some hip problems a couple of years ago, not avascular necrosis per se, but I suspect the same general advice holds—until you have a treatment plan in place, avoid walking as much as possible. If you irritate the affected area then it may cause damage that will limit your treatment options.
