Chicago ABT Finals

Pardon me, but I think players should be able to do whatever they want to with regards to whether they play LC or not and noting some directors don't pay calcutta money to the LC winner anyhow.
Life will go on just fine if someone on your calcutta team decides to sleep late or not show up for the LC and you lose... how much? Maybe $5 or $10 equity maybe less if people bought back....LOL.
Now here's a really nice thing that someone did about a decade or so ago when there was the big money Ladies Challange event in Chicago. I owned Mika Lidov in the main Calcutta and she decided to forfeit in the conso to conserve her energy for the ladies event. She figured my equity was about $50 and appolgized to me and handed me a 50 which I thanked her for and wished her good luck.
Is this principle the same here? I don't know but do think that people should be more concerned with $50 than with pocket change and that it is extremely rare for someone to not play the conso.
Anyhow...about 10 years ago, I was up late Saturday night drinking and playing some money matches with someone and screwed up thinking the LC started at 11 am when it was 10 am...so I was forfeited as expected. I offered my calcutta buyer $10 and he replied "don't worry about it Neil..I've won enough over the years buying you".
My point remains that there are far more important things to worry about at T's than occasionaly lost calcutta equity from someone not playing the LC. As a matter of likely fact...there are more than a few players who will lose interest when they lose in the main, and not care so much about early conso rounds since when they lose that, they play the chouette.
