This is very true, but in spite of that, there certainly is such a thing as minding one's own business and not interferring unless someone is really getting seriously wronged (obviously assuming no physical harm to someone). In this case Phil was offering a deal to back someone and it certainly seems fair enough to me, but even if it didn't it is not my place nor anyone else's to interfere.
