I agree. I don't object to Steve's analysis except when he says, There are factors that might justify that sacrifice of equity, but the fact that your opponent might incorrectly take at some future point is definitely not one of them. This amounts to saying that my way of representing the situation is wrong. I accept that one can think of the situation differently, but I think it is wrong to say that my viewpoint is wrong.
