Having read

1.3 STAFF. A knowledgeable and disinterested Director or Directors advised by a Tournament Committee shall represent the Tournament.

I share Steve's dubiety (it's a word!). I'd rather the disinterested director not have an in-vested interest in participants in the tournament.
