This is not very clear cut. I think you need to play 6/1(2) 11/6 13/8, to jack up the number of gammon wins, which increases the effectiveness of your cube. If you play 18/8(2), you have a nice race lead, but your position is not very threatening, and you are going to win only a few gammons. White can just build the board and wait. Difficult to cube, easy to take ATS.

So point, and have a gammon threat! But not crystal clear at all.
