If Blue plays 18/8(2) White has an easy take leading 3a/9a. There's little gammon threat and Blue's position is rather awkward. Blue doesn't have a cashing race lead. I think the more difficult choice is (with 6/1*(2)) 11/6 13/8 or 18/13(2). The latter play disengages but leaves a potent 5-6 to hit. The former play gives Blue a bit more of a gammon threat because he can make a 4 point board with more numbers without leaving a direct shot. I would play 18/13(2) but perhaps 11/6 13/8 is better especially ATS.
