Hitting leaves 12 shots, after making the bar almost every roll hits.
The big advantage of making the bar is of course that the hits don't always win. But let's say that white wins 40% of his hits when we make the bar, then hitting is still a lot better.
And on top of that hitting wins more gammons. So 18/15*/11 for me.
