The GWC swing on the 4/36 times you get hit is huge, and outweighs everything else.

It is a blunder for black to come out to the outfield before white clears his midpoint. Therefore if 4/1 induces her to do that, you should rejoice. When ahead in the race, race. When behind in the race, maintain contact (most of the time anyway), and the best way to maintain contact here for the time it takes to break the midpoint is for black to retain the anchor.
