I agree with that.

It is a blunder for black to come out to the outfield before white clears his midpoint. Therefore if 4/1 induces her to do that, you should rejoice.

I don't think this is true. After 14/13 4/1 I think that it is correct (not a blunder) for Black to hop into the outfield with almost any roll that doesn't make Black's 5 point. Black doesn't mind getting into a blot-hitting contest and doesn't want to bury checkers deep in his own home board.

It's more that Yellow doesn't care all that much that Black is able to hop out. It's a pretty small concession, since Black gains only a little bit by acquiring this freedom.
