Thanks for the rollout, Neil.
Opening 52
Here is data for opening 52:
Money
Snowie .. [S D6 $53] 46k 5k$
GnuBG .. [S D15 $56] 92k 47k$
XG 3-ply [S D15] 46k
XG 4-ply [S D14] 46kOther scores (GnuBG)
d[S D5] 31k
s[S D25] 5k
g[D S11] 15kKey: S = Split (24/22 13/8), D = Down (13/11 13/8), $ = Slot (13/8 6/4). Error sizes are in thousandths.
A letter before the brackets denotes score: d = dmp, s = (gammon) save, g = (gammon) go; else assume money. After the brackets is the number of trials (in thousands, rounded down). For example, "g[D S11] 15k" means that at gammon go, D is best and S is -.011 after 15000+ trials.
Opening 52 and 54 have similar S/D margins (bot aggregates of .013 and .012) and D is best only at GG in both cases.
So far, Neil, you've rolled out openings 21 41 43 52 54 64 on XG 4-ply. That leaves 32 51 63. You may not want to bother with 62 (except at GG) or 31 42 53 61 65.
