I've encountered similar situations before where it's better to hit and stay even though after many of the opponent's rolls it's better to lift next turn. Often this happens at the tail end of a blitz where I'm making a final attempt to complete the blitz before being forced to scale back. Not sure if this is one of those situations, but I can see that it might be. When White has two on the bar, her entering with a hit isn't as disastrous as when she has only one on the bar, because chances are you'll still be able to enter and keep some initiative while White tries to enter the other checker. I will go with the OTB play of 8/3* 6/5.
