In Response To: Nack vs Grandell (Stick)

"Because it's right" resonates with me. Such bearoff positions are common and I know the 8-5-4 spare distribution is good. Maybe specific combinations of the number of checkers on the bar and opponent's board make a difference, maybe not. Anyway, my play is 11/8 6/5, not 11/7 or 11/8 4/3.
