Nack vs Grandell

You are probably correct knowing that you'll only make a very tiny error if it comes up another play is correct but it's still good to know in the back of your mind when another play may be correct. Like I said, as presented, this play is a total next for me but I admitted there would be other variations where it would still be a 'next' but another play would be better. (and knowing the why behind it is always useful, or at least be able to figure it out if you need to) An easily constructed example:
is Player 2
score: 0
pip: 14225 point match pip: 63
score: 0
is Player 1
XGID=eBBBCBC----A----------aed-:1:-1:1:31:0:0:0:25:10 to play 31
Or even:
is Player 2
score: 5
pip: 11811 point match pip: 63
score: 5
is Player 1
XGID=dBBBCBC----A----------aee-:1:-1:1:31:5:5:0:11:10 to play 31
Or you should get the idea by now and I'm too lazy to alter the position itself:
is Player 2
score: 6
pip: 1187 point match pip: 63
score: 1
is Player 1
XGID=dBBBCBC----A----------aee-:1:-1:1:31:1:6:0:7:10 to play 31
