Well, O.K. But Petter specifically asked for reasons. Presumably he's rolled it out and knows the answer. It doesn't seem very illuminating when someone responds and says, "It's obvious to me." Surely you understand this since you have made the same sort of point yourself many times. So I don't understand why you seemed to take me to task for going into the reasons and explaining the effect of the score, the number of checkers on the bar, and so forth. I wasn't convinced just because some strong players said so—was it a faux pas to say that out loud?
