It's good White made a 5 point board before his blitz failed. That will be very strong if the game every turns White's way again. I count 31 ways for Black to cover the acepoint blot. So 5 numbers don't -- some good news for White. But Black can't make the ace and another point except with 5-5, which leaves 3 open points. White rates to bring two checkers in immediately on 3 open points 25% of the time. That plus other ways to win with an open 5-4-3, 5-4, 4-3, or just 4 point, with that 5-point board, and cube possession, and what is for now a close race, ought to add up to a take. All of Black's cover numbers to make a 3 point board, and the outfield blot, despite the fairly weak preparation for making the 5 and 3 points, ought to add up to a double.
