Probability Puzzle for Mathematicians

I have been contemplating posting the classic 3-door game show variant but unfortunately it was popularised in a crappy blackjack movie called 21. And since backgammon players are inherently gamblers, they probably will have seen it. Apparently the gameshow example has spooked many reputable mathematicians for decades.
