Perhaps with the checker on 18, the stronger 5 point gives more to Creamcolored's position in sequences where Brown hits on the bar point (and there are a lot of return hits there, and Creamy hits in return -- I can see, I guess, that putting a third checker might have more oomph holding the 6-5 points instead of the 8-6-3 -- for a second roll, Brown is denied a chance to make that golden anchor.
