Thanks for the RO, Neil.
52S-52
Here is data for 52S-52:
Money
Snowie .. [D=S K40 H54 X61 x71 N65 $83] 20kSD 5k
GnuBG .. [D S2 K47] 46kSD 5k
XG 3-ply [S D2] 15k
XG 4-ply [D S5] 46kOther scores (GnuBG)
s[S=D] 15k
g[H D8 K23] 5kKey: D = Down (13/11 13/8), S = Split (24/22 13/8), K = Kill (8/3*/1*), H = Hit (13/11 8/3*), X = hit-and-split (24/22 8/3*), x = alt hit-and-split (24/22 6/1*), h = alt hit (13/11 6/1*), $ = Slot (13/8 6/4). Error sizes are in thousandths.
A letter before the brackets denotes score: d = dmp, s = (gammon) save, g = (gammon) go; else assume money. After the brackets is the number of trials (in thousands, rounded down). For example, "g[H D8 K23] 5k" means that at gammon go, H is best, D is -.008 and K is -.023, after 5000+ trials.
Compare 52S-52 (where D is at least as good as S) with 51S-52 (where S is clearly better). This position pair is another example of it being more reasonable to bring down an 11pt builder against a deuce-split than against an ace-split.
