What I note: We're on roll. We're down 10 pips. White's on the bar. We have a 3.5 point board. 22 numbers make a 4 or 4.5 point board or 5 point prime. We have an anchor (stripped), a midpoint (stripped) and two completely spare checkers, but they are for the moment blots. Making the 3 point may create a third blot. White has two checkers out of play. White's other 12 checkers are generally well placed, but they include two stripped outfield points, two stripped priming points, and a stack on the six point.
We have quite a few market losers (X/3 ... fan and there must be others too), quite a few rolls that improve but give White a take next roll, and quite a few sequences that make us regret a double (we don't cover the three point, or we do but Blue enters and hits elsewhere).
What else ... is White passing? No way. On average I think we rate to improve to a better doubling position. I take a roll now.
Close, but no double.
