"What does it mean to place in a tournament? I am confused by all the players with .01 master points but none with 0."

As stated on top of the ratings web page: "Note: 1st and 2nd place finishes represent bracket wins (e.g. 1st Consolation), not event wins.". This means that if you win the consolation bracket of an event, you'll show up with one more 1st place finish.

Yes, this is due to a current limitation in the software. Players without Master Points in the time covered by the report will not appear in the standings. Therefore, we are assigning 0.01 MP for non-cashing players. We've apparently failed to assign points in some cases and are already aware that some players may be missing from the list as a result. This is being worked on.

Note that as stated in our policy, these are not meant to convey the official ABT points. They will be close but not exact. The official ABT standings are on chicagopoint.com
