Nice!
Questions:
I note that John O'Hagan is listed as having played in 19 events and about 60% of the listed players have played only 1 or 2 events.
Q1: How many events in all have been rated?
Q2: Does the database presently contain all match results of all players who participated in those events?
Q3: Does the software permit the construction at some time of a database query that would display the date, event name, player rating, opponent, opponent rating and result of all the rated matches of any individual player?
Q4: Noting that "Player ratings are calculated using the FIBS rating formula," I wonder how the present rating list would compare to a list generated by the quasi-FIBS rating formula without the FIBS "boost" for TMP<400. With, players are supposed to reach their "true rating" more quickly from the starting 1500. On the other hand players who start with especially favorable or unfavorable streaks shoot to the top and bottom of the list. With or without -- each has its merits. Practice varies -- NBGF uses the boost, DBgF does not.
Comment: it might be nice if there was a (growing) list of all "events" (I assume that mean a rated competition, thus one tournament can have more than one "event") that have been rated. Also nice would be if the criteria for listing is somewhere (and it may be alrady) on the website.
Get around, get around, who gets around?
If the answer to Q2 is "yes," the following may be noteworthy:
Number of Players rated in X number of events
X = 19 1 X = 18 1 X = 17 0 X = 16 1 X = 15 0 X = 14 1 X = 13 0 X = 12 1 X = 11 1 X = 10 6 X = 9 1 X = 8 12 X = 7 4 X = 6 15 X = 5 15 X = 4 23 X = 3 25 X = 2 74 X = 1 76
