Q1: How many events in all have been rated?

A: First of all, you were looking at the 2010 standings which only includes results from 2010. You can change the 2010 to All Tournaments to see the 2009 and 2010 events combined. If you click on "Tournament Results", you'll see the list of tournaments included in the ratings. Note however that each tournament is typically comprised of two events (for Open players): the Main event (generally a 3 flight event (lose 3 times to be eliminated), and the Masters Jackpot event (single elimination). In total, there are 20 tournaments that have been rated thus far (10 for 2009, 10 for 2010), meaning probably about 40 total rated events. John O'Hagan has played in every rated event in 2010 (we're missing the Ohio Masters).

Q2: Does the database presently contain all match results of all players who participated in those events?

A: Yes.

Q3: Does the software permit the construction at some time of a database query that would display the date, event name, player rating, opponent, opponent rating and result of all the rated matches of any individual player?

A: Yes. This would all be derivable from the database. All of this information is stored, which allows Elo rating to be properly recomputed if an old event is suddenly entered into the database out of sequence.
