That's interesting. Do you think it really solved the problem? Or did it just mitigate it slightly?

I seem to recall reading some article about tennis players who didn't have a "second serve" so to speak. They would serve the same way regardless of whether it was their first serve or their second serve. Apparently they found this to be a better strategy than the standard one of being more cautious on the second serve. If the tennis rules were changed so that a fault would lose the point, I wonder how much difference it would actually make.
