This fits nicely with Nack's recent training comments in the solution to problem #66 on Two Plus Two http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/138/backgammon/problem-week-66-solution-808492/

To summarize, Nack advocates daily play against a bot with follow-up review and study of one's errors. I prefer a review of live online matches, as I find that my take/drop decisions are more accurate against a bot, but the principle is the same.
