Agreed. I think it is also important to check how numbers play. For example, in a 9 checkers off position, it matters whether the spare checker is on the 3 or on the 2 point - big swing on how 21 plays. You'd also need to consider how much time you have, and if you'd get a chance at a second blot, how long that chance will remain. Keeping Blonde's position constant, and Chocolate on the bar, 2 and 3 points, I don't close against 10 off, depends on where the spare is against 9 off, and close against 8 or less off.
